WTF, why is this happening to everyone all of a sudden. When I swapped the wires round I didn't touch the battery!
You must have touched the wires together by accident.

as Morgzc said, when i put my cd player in when i bought my saxo, i had to swap the ignition and permanent live over and bobs your uncle it worked spot on.
Its a sony headunit if that makes any different.
Also never touched the battery either and its been fine.

It dosent work on the DVD players tho. They have fused connections. I'm facing the same problem, cant get a constant live! Tryed swapping red and yellow and blue wires round! No diffrence, sometimes dosent come on when you swap them round. Others it blows fuses!
Had to do it on the halfords DV733 ? 4 inch dvd player one, it worked fine like that. but I've now got a 7inch flip out dvd player and its impossible to figure out the wireing on it!
