My Chequered Roof

I made a thread a few days ago about the going rate for a chequered roof.

I found a guy that would do it for £50 fitted or £30 supplied. I was going to use my mates workshop (His a sign maker) and do it over a weekend, but though if i make a mistake, it'll cost more then them doing it. So i payed £50

I was there about 2 and a half hours. Originally i was going to shiny black, but thought it would look better satin.

Each tile stuck on by hand, very very good job. So pleased, that I gave the guy another tenner as a thank you.

Don't be put off by the location though lol. They now have a garage to prep the cars and do the work, away from the sunlight and dust.

What do you think? I think it suites the car.

All the little air bubbles have gone, this was condensation from the watery glue they used to spray on the black stickers

if it was my car i'd either get white bumpers or do the bottom of the doors black(so its black right round the bottom)

Yes, there stuck on with Super Glue.

They are fridge magnets if you've not guessed?. I get many many looks and points when going up and down the motorways daily.

Notice the dice on the toeing eye? Not everyone notices. Nothing has been nicked or any stickers peeled (YET).

the stickers look sweet, i need to get some more stickers when i go to cornwall this year, had a couple of dc stickers on my old vtr, but i no longer have that car.... no need to get some for my current vtr! where do you get your stickers from?

looks to be a bit of dodgy spacing, bad alignment on quite a few tbh.

Although i guess its quite cheap considering vinyl costs between £10-30 a meter depending on type on average.

Awesome car bud, my cheapy golf is going that way. Not sure on a whether to chequer the bonnet or do something else funky to it. I think some clear front indicators & then yellow tint the lights on that would look awesome.

ive been doing a bit of wrapping on a few special cars so know about how much of an arse curves and recesses are, but there are some very odd gaps there lol

no way im ratting it, would only rat something if it was a complete shit example, mines solid so would seem a waste :D, but yeah it is going to be a generic golf, I really don't care aslong as it looks nice ;)

It's not any 'look', it just takes some influence from the rat and vdub scene IMO. People are too ready to categorise things.

I bought a majority of them from eBay on a huge sticker sheet "Skateboard Stickers" Others i bought here and there
