im looking at replacing a rear beam with a second hand one. I was wondering how i check its in good working order and not shot . I will be checking it off the car so will have full access to all parts.
any help appreciated thanks.

difficult to check when its off the car as you really need to give it a really good shake around, i'd be reluctant to buy one that had already been removed from someone i didin't know

id agree id be reluctant to buy one off the car
gives you a better idea of what condition its in
id imagine your going to put it back on with polybushes so i wouldnt worry about bush condition
just concentrate on the beam itself see if its developing rust or cracks with age on any welds or joints
