gonna tell the insurance, just want to know if they increase performance or what?

backbox will not gain you any performance.

gonna fit the sportex myself me thinks.
any one tell me how easy it is?
do i need that exhaust putty shit for where the join is on the back box to the manifold?

Should be ok with some exhaust clamps if not you will need it welding thats what normally happens.

If its a direct fit it should slide on and clamp easy. But if not its gonna start costing.
