They msut be bad if thats coming from a "old" "ford" "turbo" owner...
Three words that must never be said toghter lol.
punto mate spend £800 extra and get 230bhp that will rape most cars and scoobys upt to 100 anyway and they are cheaper on the insurance than a vts
just sold mine on sunday was so painfull as it was my toy

VAG 1.8T?
I've got a GTI 1.8T putting out about 200BHP, I love the car, real comfy to drive, quick, looks awesome etc. Love it to bits, insurance group 14.. I'm 18, 1 years NCB and I paid £1300 which is good imo (all in my own name, TPFT.)

Car itself only cost me 1800 (off my mate), mind you the wheels are worth 1000 (paid 700) so yeah, would be gutted! But I don't drive it like I stole it and am a good driver, so unless someone hits me I'll be fine (and if they do, I'll be covered.)
Bloody nice car though! Mind you, looks a lot better than most other golfs round here, most of them look complete pap, it's had a fair bit spent on it, luckily I didn't have to be the one who's wallet it came from!

Yep! Haha. Yeah they are mate, Porsche Twists.. 10" Wide on the back, think fronts are 8.5! Look nuts, get a lot of looks.. the best feeling is pulling up next to someone in a Porsche with some of the uglier Porsche wheels, and the look on their face when they see mine haha!

Admiral. Hmm I guess so because I can get insured on most things cheapish. 2300 for a 2010 BMW M-Sport 330i fully comp, £500 excess (just thought I'd see how much it'd be incase I stumble across the money!). A VTR is like £700 I think, and a VTS about the same as the Polf.

twingo 1.2 turbo?
And a starlet never ruined a RS focus behave yourself...front wheel drive wont be able to put most of that power down and the RS owner onviously wasnt driving it hard enough, or because you overtook him meant you ruined him.

Quote of the day..
Old, cheap and turbo should never be said in the same sentance, your looking for trouble imo.
money no object id go for a celica GT Four or perhaps a nissan 200sx/300zx that hasnt been ramraided into halfords with a magnet, so pretty hard to come by.

RS's are FWD too you know, they themselves struggle to get it all down even with the LSD's and other various bits of technology they have! Get terrible torque steer too so I'm told..
To be fair, even if the Starlet did beat the RS (which isn't impossible), would much rather be seen driving the RS!

focus rs is much much better :) not being car'ist or anything but i fucking hate starlets -.- the gtt is acceptable but is like a shrunken down pulsar, and the glanza is just terrible its a micra with a turbo..what took its wifes hormone replacement pills instead of its steroids

Not gonna lie, they're probably good fun purely due to the fact that they have a turbo, and it they're probably reasonably quick for what they are. But on the flipside, they look like Micras as you've said and you look like a complete goon driving it.
That reminds me, the other day I saw a 300ZX I think it was, all body kitted up, quad exhausts and a badge saying 'FQ480' stuck on the back (for those unaware, implying he had 480BHP.) Anyway, I laughed at him and sat right behind him we turned off a roundabout onto a dual carriage way and I booted it as he did... needless to say I felt as if I wasn't moving, and he pulled on me about the speed of an E90 M5 if not quicker.
Moral of the story, never underestimate chavs in there chariots.
