Got some oil and water temperature sensors today but wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions on where the locate the sensor units???

Has anyone got these gauges that can tell me where they fitted them pls :y:

Ideally Id like to know what the oil temperature is before it gets to the mocal sandwich plate that opens up at 84 Degrees C ???

and water temp ideally should be measured before or after the thermostat? (what gives a true'r reading of temperature?) :wall:

Cheers

+1 that's where mine will be located.

I'm going to take my oil temp from the sump as the westcoast dials don't use oil temp.

I wonder if my car has a spare sensor hole... my sensor is really small like 8mm diameter for the water temperature :/

cheers for that :y:

When you say from the sump do you mean your going to remove the sump, drill a hole in it big enough for the sensor and then weld a nut on the outside with the same diameter?

I was hoping there was going to be somewhere easier to be honest :/

I'm just going to remove the oem vts oil temp sensor (I'm not using it as the westcoast dials dont have an oil temp gauge on them) and use my oil temp sensor in the hole

could I fit a T piece in the hole and run 2 sensors??? I dont really want to lose my OEM sensor...
I think im right in saying that if I use 1 of the sensors for both gauges then the readings will be wrong!?!

Got any other ideas on where I can plumb into the oil raunchz?
