Ok, so, I had a 3GS, next to a glass of water through the night, must of spilt the water on my iPhone and its now water-damaged beyond repair (pretty much fucked!), I was, and am still gutted but life goes on.

What to do now though? I dont whether to save up a little and buy the new iPhone 4, but ive heard Apple themselves have confirmed severe signal problems, so I dont know whether its worth spending all that money again, plus I had the new IOS4 on my 3GS, so the iPhone 4 would just look and feel the same.

Or should I go for a Blackberry, a HTC, or something different?

Help..:wall:

Don't get a Blackberry, nothing like an iPhone. I have one now as an upgrade along with the iPhones i have too and it's just sitting there.

How badly water damaged? Do you have phone insurance?

Yes there is currently signal problems with the iP4, but Apple will be releasing a software update in the near future to rectify a "formula error" which calculates the bars of signal that are displayed.

Basically Apple coders fucked up and there is no signal problems

My iphone 4 doesnt seem to have the problems, its strange because my boyfriends does.

If youve had a 3gs, you will notice a difference to a 4.

also if youve had a 3gs, you will be bored with a blackberry in about a week.

cant comment on the htc because ive never even looked at one!

I have a HTC phone and find it good. My mate has a iPhone and I can't see any major pros over one or the other. But to be fair I can't see why the iPhone is so expensive, other than it being an "iPhone". It's only a brand. I will stick with HTC as its in my opinion good as the iPhone but cheaper on contract.

Avoid Blackberry like the plague, terrible phones, I'm awaiting my 4th replacement Curve as I type this.

Played around with my step-brothers HTC, as soon as you get past the main menu, it looks like an old phone. Windows mobile is a flawed OS IMO.

Replace your iPhone, it's the only option. Any other phone after you've owned an iPhone is shite.

ive had the blackberry curve 8900 for must be over a year now and its not had a single problem for me its good as a phone/email.texting but internet browsing the internet is slow and the screen is far to small but otherwise its been a good phone

htc never had one but several friends have them and they have only praise for them

iphone good all rounded phone wouldnt say it is the best at everything and flawless like alot seem to think/makeout the battery is rubbish if you use the it alot for apps or internet youll be charging it daily its also heavily over priced

get a iphone as you seem to like your last one if you can afford to spend the extra on the 4 then get that

im going to wait and hope the prices go down on the 4 before i even bother tbh i like the look of them unlike the last ones which imo was abit of a brick

Ive had Blackberrys for several years and never had an issue with them at all tbh. Would never have anything apart from Blackberrys personally as it suits my life style far better than everything else i have looked at. Touch screen just seems to get in my tits.

I did give the Iphone 4 a try last weekend when i got another contract and couldnt even type my name....kept getting the wrong letters etc etc.

Good luck with that, the iPhone 4 is slightly bigger and heavier than the 3g and 3gs

The iphone 4 issue has now been proven, I would not consider buying one if I was in your shoes.

I might just buy a cheap-ish 3G, then jailbreak it, because im desperate to j/break my iPhone, but ive never been able to with the old 3GS, with it being on the 4.0 software.

@P90PTS, its soo badly water-damaged that it wont go on, trust me when I say its dead.

Does anyone know, if I had to buy a new iPhone 4 on o2, would I have unlimited wi-fi and internet use for 12 months like I did on my 3GS, or would I have to top-up once a month? And if so, how much?

If your on a pay monthly contract with O2.
All iphone contracts have free internet but have the 500mb fair usage thing on them.
Wi-fi is always free

That would be sick, although maybe slight overkill.
