Hi to everyone on here, am looking for some help with my girlfriends 2002 saxo vtr.

Here's what I've done. I bought it just a couple days ago with the bottom end Knackard number 4 conrod was bent, so I went out and bought another engine from a bloke and the engine had come out of his 2000 w -reg vtr. I took the engine out of the 2002 vtr and had both engine's sat side by side and i the found out that the inlet manifold wiring was different so i thought bout swapping over the inlets but then found out that the bolt arrangement was different so I then went to dingbro's got a new head gaket kit and timing belt and swapped heads over to the bottom end of the engine that I just bought everything went well after a while trying to get the timing right, any easier way to do this??

Now i cant get the car to start I think there may be a few problems cos 1 I cannot get a spark and 2 because the engine turns over quick. Any help would be great. Thanks in adavnce Mikey

Sorry here we go.

The head is the orignal 1 that was in the car same with the loom and ecu, the inlet was orignal to the head and car.

The bottom end has come off a 2000 wreg facelift model iirc its still the mk1 engine.

Thats the immobilisor, before removing the engine you should of turned ignition on, then removed the immobilisor box (small black box behind glovebox). This would of unlocked the ECU for the new engine.

Infact.. which ECU have you actually got on there?
