View Full Version : What colour to spray VTR wheels on a Silver VTR?

My wheels are in a state so I have bought a new set. I'm planning on reburbing the old set and spraying them, while they are off and I can take my time and get a good finish.

Was thinking either gloss black, matt black, or anthracite (as this would match the black badges and tinted windows), but maybe any others I haven't thought of.

if your using a gun, you will need...

-ech 1liters plenty aprox £22
-2l primer, 1liter pint, mixied, 4to1 with activater, aprox 22£ again loads.
-if u go high gloss your gona need 2k paint witch is about 15£ for half a liter, mixed 50/50 with thinner.
-or you could use cellulose paint which leave a satin finish but once lacquered will be high gloss tht aprox £10 for 500ml but 2k paint if stronger and better
-2k lacquer 1liter, half liter activtor and 20% thinners about £25
-gallon thinners 5er
-mixing tubs 20p

hope tht helps you abit, you onli need to use the ech if u rub down to bear metal

would also reccomend a good paint mask as the fumes are highly poisonous

Get them finished in chrome for me like but the orange loks nice as well. mmm
