basically my car squeaks when going slow over bumps etc, i thought it was my front bushes/shocks so i polybushed the front end, fitted apex dampers and its still doing it, then i thought it might be the top mounts as for a while i was running 60mm springs on oem suspension.
But the last couple days my car has been stripped as im moving house and needed the space and with out the rear seats, it sounds like its coming from the back, and now im sure its coming from the rear beam, does this mean i need new bushes? or a new beam? i cant see any camber on my wheels so im sure my rear beam is fine, anyone else had a squeaky rear beam and sorted it?
could it even be the rear dampers?? any advise will be appreciated
cheers

i know mate i hate it i feel like a right twat when people are about and im driving past lol. sounds like we have a similar problem, just hope i get mine sorted tomorow. really hope it just needs greasing up somewhere. mines wierd though because im sure it did it a few months back then stoped now its started again but just getting worse.
when it first started doing it the noise would stop after about 5 minutes of driving but it just carries on now.
but il let you know tomorow hopefully mate :y:

sounds just like my problem i had mate. only heard it with the windows down though but then again im not sure if your stripped or not as ive still got full interior. what i did was, stand out side the quarter window and rock the car with your hands on the roof, see if it squeaks. or if you get the rear wheel off, wiggle the trailing arm up and down to simulate going over bumps and hear out for the same squeak.
apparantley it usually sounds like 2 bottles hitting each other lol mine sounded just like a mouse squeak though

yeah i removed the end plate, and then put a bolt and socket into the antiroll bar and tightened it, so it tightened the other side i think. then just did the end plate up tight with some sort of thread lock, but not too tight as i snapped one in there and had to tap it out :(

hes my gf dads mate and hes a good bloke so he didnt charge me i had to go round his house saturday and he had a look he said hes pretty sure the rear arm bearings are on the way out.
he didnt lube it up himself but he showed me the gap to spray the lube into and its helped so far i just jacked it up got under the back and sprayed it on all the mechanisms just to make sure. im going to let it work in for a few days and put abit more on. hopefully it shuts it up for now.
i still dont understand why after about 5 10 mins of driving it stops though
and also im not convinced he was right as he only had a listen under the car while i bonced it and because i had driven to his house it was no way near as loud.
i just though that if the rear arm bearings are going it shows camber? go no cmaber and the wheels feel solid.
have you had yours looked at yet bud?

I have a similar squeek, however I only seem to notice mine when i accelerate and the rear end dips slightly, and then again when i come off the accelarator. Dunno if its the samething but i got my MOT next wednesday so should find out if its the shocks or anything like that.
If you get it sorted please post here with solutions, as it is the most annoying and embarrasing thing ever :) tar :y:
