Hi pritty much what it says on title, is it possible for me to strip the central locking kit out of a saxo with wires and regulator and installing it into mine?

I previousely stripped electric windows and installed them, even made a guide on it on saxp-p!

If so great what do i need and my issue is with the key is the key spacific to that central lock or doesnt it matter as long as the key turns the llock it will activate the central lock?

Thanks and while im at it lol what are the possability of stripping and wiring into my car the origional alarm system?

Cheers

would say you might need the immobilzer part too if you were to use the keys in your car cos if they have the chip in the key engine won;t turn over or have several diff keys for lock and engine?
if any of that makes sense?

Yeah id does mate, i was thinking of getting the remote versions from the saxo and just use the key fob to open and close..... actually come to think of it the fob is for the alarm????? well my thought was when all wired in, the key (e.g your own) when inserted into the lock and turned the mechanism moves inside that is attatched to the solonoid which sends a small electrical current down the cable to the other solonoid to move too, so the key side to the lock is manual its the unit and cables that work together. They wont work if either the driver or passanger for that matter side is turned? however quote me if im worng people.

Good point thought would like to get a definate before going ahead.

well vtrs don;t come as standard with alarm so fob is just for locking/unlocking but pretty sure you'd need a box that recieves the fobs signal. so can;t see a problem with that part not working.
but then if batt goes you'll need to use key. think thats pretty much all info i can shed tiny light on i;m affraid.

having a rethink to my answers i belive them to be bollox and wil say you prob only need the key fob, fob reciever box. as it would be the same as putting an aftermarket alarm/locking kit on, you wouldn;t replace keys and barrels with them.

sorry i beleive that all i wrote in above statements to be wrong.

therefore i think all you'll need is the key fob, fob reciever box and wiring. then you should have working central locking with the fob.
