Battery light query

Just wondering... my battery light has been on for a few days now as i still havnt connected the plug back on the alternator as i cant source one :(. how long will my car last until it decides to give up? is my car not getting charge if the black connector on top of the alternator is not plugged in?

No the plug is just for the light, the battery will still be charging if it's all okay.

I might have a spare plug knocking about - can you put up a picture of the plug you need?

Thatd be brilliant mate. But just for peace of mind my car is still charging? that plug (connector) is just the battery light itself?
