ive got a dvd player in my car and ive just installed a xbox crystal connected it all up but no picture on my screen can anyone please help me

can you run the xbox straight into the outputs on the screen? (if it has them)

They do several.... is it a DV720?

no mate its the 3 1/2 inch one its the 733b model

They have AV outputs, which is what you will need.

Have you connected the three coloured plugs to the head unit yes?

yes there are several leads coming of the loom tried them all

Oh so they're outputs on the wiring loom as opposed to outputs on the actual unit?

Do you get any response if you tell the unit you are using the AV input?

Hmm...

Is there a switch anywhere on the cable?

Also, have you tried running it on your tv and in the settings menu changing the tv settings to whatever matches your unit, eg AV?

Sounds like the unit isnt even seeing the XBOX

when the x box is on i can switch to either radio or av on the h/u

I mean when the xbox is on a TV, change the settings on there.

On doing some research it appears the AV is for additional monitors, eg in the headrests.

The Video output is for a rear view camera, maybe this can be used...

What is the interface for the video output?

i just kept trying the yellow plug of the xbox into the different sockets and the pic is brilliant just no sound now

fair enough, do the same with the others, one carries sound
