Well my car is currently on sale on ebay

this morning i got a email saying.

Just viewed your listing and will like to purchase it.how much do you want to sell it?

Sent from my iPhone 3GS

i thought fair enough i replied with give us a offer of around so and so and ill consider it.

2 hours later i got this reply

Thanks for your quick respond, i am buying the car for my Mum and i am at sea at the moment as i am a marine engineer and due to the nature of my work, phone calls making and visiting of website are restricted but i squeezed out time to check this advert and send you an email regarding it. I really want the car to be a surprise for Mum so i wont let him know anything about the car until it gets delivered to her, i am sure she will be more than happy with the car.I insisted on paypal because i don't have access to my bank account online as i don't have internet banking, but i can pay from my paypal account, as i have my bank a/c attached to it, i will need you to give me your paypal email address so i can make the payments asap for the car and pls if you don't have paypal account yet, it is very easy to set up, go to www.paypal.com and get it set up , after you have set it up i will only need the e-mail address you use for registration with paypal so as to put the money through.I have a pick up agent that will come and pick the car up after i have made the payments.

Best Regard,
Thanks.
Raymond

Do you really have to ask? He even refers to his mum as him.

i got the same emails whilst selling , 2 of my past cars, my xbox360, ps3..they very almost got me for my ps3.

they were highest bidder at the end, didnt think anything of it was just acting like normal, then got the email thought it was abit odd, but they sent a email to my email address from paypal..was identicle to the payment ones from paypal..clicked on the link theyd set up a fake paypal website too also identicle to paypal...saying theyd sent me so much for the ps3, then so much for delivery etc. so packaged my ps3 up rote the address on it ready for it to be sent in the morning.

typed in www.paypal.co.uk to check the payment was till in there logged in and said your balance is £0..clicked the link on the email again and says like £300..these people are very sneaky and it seems like theyll do nearly anything to get your stuff im always cautious when i sell on ebay now as they very nearly conned me out of my ps3
