This is the same kind of install I'm gonna try and get, 2 12 inch subs, one in each corner with the amp/s in the middle. I'm gonna be contacting my friends dad to sort out measurements and stuff cause he's a carpenter and he's building it so I would probably go for that option. Especially if you're getting it made by someone instead of hand building.

Haha, well might be worth giving it a shot yourself. Only bit that might be difficult is, if you're making it flush with the back seat, the angle of the back but shouldn't be too hard.

you haven;t really got to be good with measuring tho to be fair. use boot carpet as a kind of template. all u want first is the flat face of the subs box get them to size, then work out what angle you want them at, then you'll get the size of the central amp part. then as said taper the backs to fit the angle of the seat. tools needed prob a jig saw and screw gun and plane. if its being covered you ain;t gotta be amazingly neat as filler and covered you ain;t gonna see.

yeap mdf would be best option and is fairly cheap. and some places may even cut to size for you. long as you take your time and take a step back every now and again you can;t really go wrong. and as for angle on back seat you prob don;t need to taper it for fit to save hassle.
covering you can go for what you want.
assuming its something like this you mean?

i got simple false made for mine, flat base subs in floor amp underneaths works for me.
as to getting the angles its easy u just place the sub boxes where you want and then theres the angle of the amp enclosure in between.

boot install's are pretty easy, just take your time and measure every thing twice
this took about 30 minute(only because i've hidden the amp under the sub,so had to build a mount for the amp)
