catalyitic convertor?? or however u spell it!!

last year had my mot... and it failed on emissions so i got a new cat fitted and it was fine...

today had this years mot.. and its failed on emmisions again... the garage said that the cat is not good...

but how can this e its not even done 12000 miles? and was only fitted on the 30th june 09??

they have kept my car overnight to sort it 2moro and said they tryin to get a new one in the warranty...

thing is last year about a week AFTER the mot and the cat was fitted the headgasket went... could the head gasket going have caused the cat to fail??

if you have the head done (i can only speak from what happened to mine)

when i had it done, i had port and polish, resitting of vavles, and now its so economical and got increased performance, so as long as you took it to a good garage, the head shouldnt be the problem

the lamba sensor is what regolates emissions, could it be that?

tbh im not entirely sure what it could be but ill ask the garage if they have checked the lamda sensor 2moro :) i think they will have done though as thats the 1st thing they checked last year :)
