i can't get the old one out of the mount any ideas on how to get it out without heat as i don't have a torch

use a socket smaller than the hole and force it out with a vice?

wouldn't the other side of the vice just keep it in?

like when smoking headlights could i stick it in the oven and then try tap it out once heated to about 200'c

You use a much larger socket bigger than the hole on the other side

just found this might do it , (cutting the outside plastic and bending it inside)
rate i should try that untill i get to use the vice at work tomorrow

I used a puller to get mine out. I'll try and get a pic later if I have one.

turn stud until the mount pops out, it'll look like the rubber part is going to snap but then all of a sudden it will just slide out
Not my images. But same thing.

wait till dark, throw it in a bonfire and let the rubber bit burn out, then turn a hacksaw "inside" out so the blade go's through the middle and cut through the outer sleeve, used to be my favourite home method of getting radius arm bushes out on Range Rovers!

to conclude on this i tried the puller and it was really fiddly and kept slipping so i flipped over the blade of a hacksaw , cut a line in the outside plastic and just pushed it out really no problem :y:
