Right,

As some of you may know, my little VTR is in need of some work.

I want you to help me predict how much it will cost to save her/if it's worth keeping the car.

The problems are:

Boot floor/sides both have huge holes in the sides and WILL need a new boot floor and sides welding properly.

Needs a new rear axle as the right wheel is now touching the arch and the left wheel is facing outwards slightly.

My steering wheel doesn't seem to control the front wheels properly. Like sometimes when about half a turn to the left, the wheels will be facing straight still :/

Oil leak from sump (i think) only slightly but also engine burning oil. Engine is currently on 114k, no white stuff anywhere to be seen though.

Front right leg is corroding.

Knocks when turning wheel either way.

Back underside of car is rusted to hell, so will need sorting ASAP.

Exhaust needs a hole welding.

I'll add more if I can think, but how much do you guys think it will cost? Or is it not even worth it?

Thanks,

Mike.

in short, no. I'd be hard pushed to even buy it for parts, axle and engine both naffed. Also if you were to put it back on the road, its never going to be as strong/safe due to the amount of corrosion in it unless you are good with a MIG plant or know a good, cheap welder dude. Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings but the time has come...

I would get rid. Even if you replaced all those parts, which would cost a fortune, you still wouldn't get much for it if you were to sell it.
