Hi guys just need a little bit of advice... When changing gear on my VTS (especially from cold) its a tad stiff to move the gear selector/lever into gear, worst is going from 1st to 2nd. Just feels like it has some restistance.

I don't think the gearbox oil has been changed so could some new oil loosen it up? If so what would you guys recommend. Also would changing the gear linkages help any? Again any recommendations?

Thanks :y:.

both the things you suggest would help the action of the gearbox,
does it feel quite notchy in the mornings? as in a bit noisy and takes a bit of a push?

Thanks for the reply, I guess it does feel a little notchy, takes a bit of a push when cold does ease up a little after a drive. But there is no noise I have heard..

the box in my 1.1 was exactly the same, it just loosened up over time. only went funny after the clutch got changed, so reckoned it was the oil!
