When I got my car it had brand spanking new 185 x 60 x R14 on but their obviously the wrong size.

The front 2 are getting pretty bald now so need doing but debating wether to get a full set of Correct size 185 x 55 x R14 or just replace the front 2.

What are the drawbacks of the wrong size?

The price for a full set of 185 x 60 x R14 is also cheaper

i had 4x 185 55 14 on mine and it handled pretty well to be fair, just ring around diffferent places for prices and im sure you will find a good deal.

What are the drawbacks of having 60's instead of 55's?

Erm i dont think handling wise there will be much actual difference. car will have a slightly lower centre of gravity and you may feel the road through the steering wheel a bit more. But its more about looks. Lower profile tyres tend to look better. On my vtr wheels im running 195/45/r14.
