Gmc sell the parts to recon one but you would still need to get a decent garage or engineering place to do the work also shows a comparison to some other pins by another well known axle remanufacturer

I suggest speaking to IMAxles. who are an affliate on here. You will pay more than some places - but the job they do is second to none, certainly in my experience.

Unfortunately the rear beams are just one of those design flaws - regardless of how much care you take the bearings and therefore the stub pins are eventually going to go.

If you get a cheap job done - then most likely they will just replace the bearings rather than doing the stub pins too, which leads to bearing failure again much quicker. Get the job done properly the first time by the likes of IMAxle (who will replace the stub pins too) and the beam will be good for at least another 50k or so.

I'd be wary about the oilite axle. There is a post from one of the GMC lads (AXSaxoMan or similar) about the drawbacks of bushes over bearings in there. I will try and dig it out for you, but It may take a while. IMAxles themselves are great though, just be wary of the product - since it obviously wasn't used by Citroen and Peugeot for a reason.

This is very true! We refurb them including new stubb pins, bearings all painted up etc (exactly as a brand new one would come from cit/pug) for 300quid.
