I am wanting to get some extra bars welded onto my omp cage. Like the safety devices cage. Where could i get this done or if i could get the right bars i could get a mate to weld them on.

Any welding/fabrication place could do it.
If you have a welder you could do it

Where can i get the bars from though? Would the ends need to be curved to fit round the other bars of the cage?

Yea they would need to be curved ready for the welds but a bit of elbow grease with a curved file and you should be ok.
This is my plan too, omp half cage then get door bars welded or bolt on that extend to the footwells/front arches.

Would that not make the cage 'not FIA approved'?

depends what he is using the car for
my brother built his own cage for his race car as i did for mine and neither were 'fia approved' because they were built by ourselves but we just had them checked over before start of race season and they were both passed safe by scrutineering/bdrc

As long as the cage is scrutinised as safe then it will fine. If any of us turned up at an FIA sanctioned event (very unlikely) with a custom cage the FIA would have to check it over first then whack a sticker on it.
And yeah bars are easy to add. Any welding place will do it. Easier to do yourself. Just scallop the ends with a grinder or a file then weld away. Only do this if our a good welder though. Especially on harness bars

Something id like to know is my omp dash dodger cage, all the pictures ive seen of cars with the same cage have bolted it to the floor rather than on feet welded to sills.
