iPhone 4.0.1 Software

I dont know if it's just my phone or anyone elses.. It's the update for the signal strength or something for 3g 3gs and 4.

Installed it and basicly makes the noise when you unplug your phone from computer and the noise when you plug it and kept making this noise now saying phone gone in recovery mode and now needs to be restored... Hoping i dont lose all pics and contacts etc...

So just a heads up hope this dont happen to you guys.

Oh dear!

Glad I am still on 3.1.3. Wont be going to 4 for a long time yet! Cheers for the heads up, don't want to run the risk now as I was contemplating it!

Ok update. Make sure you back up phone before updating. I lost all photos and stuff but cos of backup it put all contacts etc back on phone with all up to date software.

So phone is now fine but took ages to restore etc.

Avoid this update, you will not be allowed to unlock your iPhone later on if you download and install this 4.0.1 update.
