I've just had the rear of my vtr lowered 40mm (axle just been replaced) and now need to get the front lowered too. Unfortunately I can't afford shocks aswell as springs just now. Am i better off waiting untill I can or will the springs be ok with standard shocks?

I'm wanting the front -40 too, so it's not as if i'm slamming it.

Will it cost much more to buy the springs and shocks seperately? (if i just get springs just now and then get shocks in a few months?)

Cheers
