it attachers to the exhaust pipe. surely there wouldn't be enough pressure coming from the exhaust to lift a 3 tonne car. and no i wouldn't trust it lol

Surely the gases in it would burn off and it deflate over time and also do say well I'll leave the car running cos one ur'd run the risk of it popping and 2 what if ur working on some where u need the engine off lol

Yeah was about to say what if you want to swap the exhaust or something?
Use it to inflate that and then its too hot to touch.

Would never trust one of those, just doesnt fill me with confidence.

i think guys you fill it with the fumes then seal the fumes in, cant see it going down as the gas it trapped

but for £50 your better off getting a real jack lol

I wouldnt mind giving one a try, surely they wouldnt be selling something that would risk crushing people. Plus it must have been tested extremely thoroughly.

im sure the aa/rac use these. theyre fine. when you consider a hydraulic jack keeps your car up basically with a little rubber o ring

The exhaust fills the jack up.....then you turn the black valve on the jack body to hold the pressure.

As an emergency item, but to work on a car always use axle stands.

Don't forget that as the gas cools it will take up less space as the pressure drops!

The ones that look like wheel barrow wheels on the side with the metal plate top and bottom which run of an air line are a rely nice peice of kit..

That looks like primarks attempt.

I would use one, but not that one.

We use them in work, they can lift about 14 tonne and use a BA cylinder pressurised to 207 Bar.

I wouldn't feel safe working on a car with that holding it up

i think alot of you are missing the point of it, its only really for emergancies basically changing a wheel with a flat tyre on the side of the road. Its not for working on the underneath of the car. personly i think its quite a good product if your car didnt come with a jack, a few people said you can buy a trollyey jack for £50 well yes you can, but would you really want to drive around with a trolley jack in your boot think of the weight of it compared to that airbag.

would use this over a scissor jack tbh but im sure this has the same problem wouldn't be that sturdy and possibly easy to puncture

I wouldn't use it. I would rather use the really dodgy scissor jack that came with the car.

Yeah they are terrible. I usually use a big trolley jack, apart from when its a quick 5 min job, then I break out the scissor jack. Don't like using it though ever.

i used it 100's of times, did you forget to put the handbrake on and leave it in gear?

jacked up the back, it was lowered and very stiff so as soon as one of the rear wheels was off the ground the other one was as well. then it fell off.
scissor jacks are shit and dangerous

What if you were to use this on a Scooby or Evo, all that backpressure on the exhaust could surely kill the turbo?

How? You're not going to leave it running once it's inflated are you, so there should be little to nothing being forced back towards the turbo.. and the turbo isn't spooling on idle anyway unless your running anti-lag so a bit of back pressure isn't going to cause any harm.
