does anyone have any experience with these, any good etc? any comments welcome.
for my 21st birthday last september my parents paid for a day driving some cars on track. tbh i am both very excited and bricking it in some ways. Anyway apparently it is their all singing and dancing package which incolves me doing the following.
4x4 experience
karting to get me started
drive lotus elise on track
drive impreza turbo on track
drive porsche 911 on track
drive ferrari 360 on track
and be a passenger in a lamborgini (maybe another super car, it depends on availability etc) at full chat
tbh i think it is an awesome bday pressie and since i got the tickets i forced myself to wait till the summer to book it for the better weather etc, and it is this sunday.
also as an added bonus they are paying for extra insurance cover so if something does happen i will not have to use their insurance which has a 2k excess. I now have no excess :y:
now i am fortunate enough to of driven some fast and nice cars in my past from my work etc. some examples include a genuine dodge viper 8000cc v10 rhd (silver with blue stripes ftw), cossie turbo powered kitcar (seriously fast), sti's, v8 jags, lotus elise, v6 clio etc. But the thought of putting some fast cars round the track not on public roads is a completely different ball game as a lot of you will know and i dont know how much to push it etc.

How old are you? If you're under 25 then you are limited to 50mph on the driving experience days. If you're over 25 and have held your license for over 5 years then you can go as hard as you want

You wont be giving it that many beans, certainly wont be getting any where nearany rev limiters.

i hope you are joking, to be fair some of these places do have strict rules but i can assure you this one has no speed limit

Tbf, i'm like 23 in a couple of week, so we're talking probably nearly 5 year ago, things could have changed since then.

Usually only a small amount of time in my experience and from what other people have told me.

Yeah i just made it up so he would be disappointed thinking he can't go over 50mph in the Ferrari or Porsche LOL, would be gutting
To be honest you don't really need any tips about this as you will have someone guiding you at all times wont you? So anything you need to know then just ask the guy, and don't worry about anything
Sounds like it'll be an amazing day i'd love to do that

yeah that would be gutting and an utter fail if it was a limit of 60.

My old man did one of these last year and they would only let him floor it in top gear in the ferrari and lambo. It was pretty wank tbh, Like putting megan fox in you bed and saying you can only neck her.

Just ask them before hand how hard you can push it, thats if they don't already tell you in the briefing which i'm sure they will
Do they have controls in the passenger seat? Doubt it.. So whats to stop you just going flat out and taking the guy for a death run?

great metaphor, i hope for my sake it isnt the same for me. i doubt it tbh as a few people from my family regularly go to this exact place and they always say how the guys get you to go as fast as you feel safe to do so etc

i will take that on board;). i have to get the ferrari revving as high as possible tbh just to feel and hear it singing

Haha. I can imagine this. Instructor tells me to take it easy, I give it 7 grand and dump the clutch, Snaking it up the airstrip and banging the limiter in every gear, While the instructor screams at me to slow down. What could they possibly do apart from whipping the bar up?

I think many of these places employ a spin-out rule. If you spin the car out just once then your time in the car is instantly finished. Don't know if it's everywhere. Just wait till the day dude I'm sure they'll tell you all you need to know.

i heard about this rule mate thanks for telling me. this place does not adopt this rule to my knowledge. however it may end that session on the car i am driving at the time. but it wont ruin my day as some places wont let you out again if you spin
