Noob in need of knowledge...topmounts on my coilovers allow for camber on the front wheels, just wondering what the pros and cons are for running camber?
Car is a daily but being built as a B road warrior...
Any info would be much appreciated :y:

camber on the front like /\ on the wheels will make shaper turning, maybe better grip because as the tyre leans over more of it will be in contact with the road,
cons are increased tyre wear on the inside edges

Cons, will you be taking corners quick enough on B roads to notice camber?

Some of them hopefully :y:
Never looked into camber before as I've never considered coilies so just trying to gain an understand of how it affects the car so I can decide whether or not to dial some camber in or not...

Best people to speak to are dannygti etc
i'd assume to get benefits from it youd need to be going at track speeds through corners. danny, unreal106 etc all run camber i beleive so should offer some knowledge regarding it

On a road car you dont want massive amounts of camber or it will tramline a lot maybe max at -1.5degrees.

Are you using a coilover damper with an airbag set up? if yes then yes you can, vw boys do it all the time f+r.

Seconded. A good suspension setup will matter more than fucking around with sus geometry for road use.

If you're looking to do motorway driving with the car for the majority of the time then I wouldn't want to play with the camber too much tbh.

Ok cheers guys just wanted some info on camber really, won't bother having any due to the milage I do and the small gain will be outweighed by excessive tyre wear...
Cheers for all of your help guys, much appreciated!

You will also find the car will wonder a fair bit at motorway speeds. A slight movement of the steering wheel could easily send you into another lane, as said I wouldn't bother unless its a dedicated track car.
Plus, ideally you would need to go somewhere to get it properly setup by someone who knows there stuff. Iirc, Curtis @ AST is very knowledgeable on this kind on stuff.
