I have exactly the same things on my mk2 VTR. I too would love to get rid of it but too scared about damaging the paintwork during the process :(

peel it off.. if it wrecks the paint just buy a nicer sticker to replace it :)

try pouring hot (ish) water over it and try and get your nail behind it and peel it a little bit and then more warter and peel more and more etc

heatgun or hairdryer will get it off like most other things.

Try using a hair dryer. Might be able to heat up the glue and make it easier to come off.

it may be worse under the sticker than what the sticker is..
most people put these on to cover scratches etc i think...

well originally they are there to stop scratches but yea most people cover damage with them

Yeah people put them on alot when the cars been broken into and the side of the lock is damaged.
I'd take it off, if theres damage there then get it smoothed and sprayed, or just buy a new sticker but more subtle, like same colour as your car.

Boiled the kettle, poured a bit on and it peeled right off :y: was little bit of paint chipped but other thatn that was fine.
