Going to have a look at a 306 DT tonight, but its done 125k. Apparently the guy said thats good for a diesel? So basically is it worth it and how much longer should i excpect it too last?
Thanks :)

My mate's dad had a Saab which was on like 240,000 miles. Garage said that if he got the timing belt done, it would do another 240,000... :y:

Don't know about the 306.

Thats not bad for a 306..not great but not bad. Would still run forever if it was treated right (regular service's etc.) and not screwed ofc lol

Much e looking for it?

Just have a look on auto trader at the other Dturbs and look at their milage.

When i was looking for my 307 there was plenty on 180k so mines under half its life still yet!

Just make sure it dont smoke or nothing if it hasnt been remapped. Still i doubt a turbo would cost much for a replacment on one of them.

I've had several diesels with high miles, never been a problem, in fact my last Saxo 1.5 D had 220,000 on it when i bought it, i put it up to 226,000, then sold it, it never used any oil or water, and never failed to start, or missed a beat! the one i've got now had 96,000 (low mileage!) when i bought it 6 months ago, and it just went round to 100,000 yesterday, again never a problem. The Peugeot and Isuzu diesel engines are the best of the lot imo good luck! :y:

My first car was a 306 1.9 D With 200,000 on the clock and sold it with 203,000 on the clock. The guy who bought it was after a cheap car to get him from Colwyn Bay to Manchester everyday!!! 160 miles there and back!!!

Ran as sweet as anything :y:

I still see it driving about the area and i sold it back in Feb 2007 :)

So the engines will last that long, but think about the suspension, bodywork, chassis etc. That'll need care eventually.

There was a 306 d turbo on ebay with 337,000 about a fortnight ago, and that looked tidy enough, had MOT and tax etc.

125k is nothing on a 306, many say peugeots (PSA) make the best diesels.

Just about bedded in at 125k ;) bought mine around 100k and now has 150k, like everyone said they will last forever. If you do get it change the timing belt.
