Le Saxo Photoshoot (30 pics)

Hey

Got the car back about a week ago and got some time to myself today so gave it a quick clean. Couldn't be bothered cleaning the leather and never had any flash dash so inside doesnt look too cheery.

Speedbumps are everywhere now, including my estate so I had to get the car higher (skirts etc) as I want to be able to park the car in my street. As well as this the car needed a makeover as it's a year since I done anything to it and it was looking, well a bit knackered. So it's looking nice and fresh for the French Car Show this year.

I've had the following done since you last seen it -

New side skirts (demon kit, ibherdesign) all smoothed in
Side repeaters and badges removed and smoothed over
Door locks removed and smoothed over
VTR kit taken off and re-fitted and smoothed in
New wing mirrors with dark smoked side repeaters
Customised front bumper (reg recess taken out and front end smoothed)
Single Wiper re-fitted
Entire car resprayed, except the roof
Tailgate smoothed, de-badged and de-locked
Reg plate moved to rear bumper to cover exhaust system (about time smileys/smiley17.gif )
Momo Millenium Steering Wheel
Citroen gear knob with logo in blue
New tinted windows (light all round)
Fuel cap inner ring sprayed posi blue (the gay look :lol: )


There's probably more but I can't remember. It's looking how I want it now, more euro style, and less sticky on jap looking stuff. In an ideal world I'd have it on coilovers touching the ground but it's just not practical.

Not usualy a fan of kitted saxos. But that is one lush car. Love all the little bits like the smoothed front bumper and VT* Kit.

It was indeed standard when I got it, well it had some rotten alloys on it but they made me £50 so can't complain lol

VTR boy, yeh they're blue. Not had any trouble of police about them. Never been stopped in me life.

Yeh would get it's ass kicked off a vtr/s but yeh I don't race anyway. Leave that to the chavs on the streets lol But wouldn't take it on a track until I had the conversion.

Another ebay purchase. Place is full of great stuff like. You should have a look on there.

The guy only made 4 sets of them though and they were going at £80 each (starting at 1p)

You could have a bash at doing them yourself but you'd need to speak to someone else on how to go about doing that.

I'm 90% certain they are yeah but they've been done in a fancy way so only certain bits are sprayed certain colours. I can't remember what originals look like but sure someone on here will be able to point out if they are.

yeah thats really nice, youve done it well, and its still pretty low, didnt relise its a 1.1 until i went further down, youve done a wicked job mate.

I rekon you should get a vts next and start modding again instead of getting a convertion, new start, hopefully that will look as good as.

Yeh its been kitted for a year anyway but it was a diff side before and front bumper so I know how to tackle the bumps smileys/smiley2.gif

I like the front and back but im not keen on the sides from a practicality point of view. Great work though I was shocked when I saw the window winder and realised that it started as a flat archer!!!

How come you didn't go back to Stevie Walker?

I decided to go to altered image since I was getting custom work done. I haven't seen any of Steves custom work so was uncertain if he could do what I asked for and understand where I was coming from.

Altered Image on the other hand have done lots of custom work and I was confident he would know what I was asking for and do it the way I wanted it.

Worked out well in the end mate.

I would still recommend Steve to anyone who needed work done though. He's still A+ at what he does.
