View Full Version : Cleanining my exhaust? possible?

Not sure if this has been posted before, but i have what look like burn marks on the top of my exhaust , probably from its previous owner, i have problems with my exhaust squeeking anyway but have brought some stronger mounts and a new bracket etc. so its comming off anyway this week , just wondered if anyone knew how to clean this up, if possible. cheers

A cleaning product called TSP will do the job. Be careful not to get it over you though. Pretty nasty stuff

might try some t-cut first see how that works.

metal polish works a treat. i put it on a scouring pad first get the main crap off then used a rag

try some auto-sol bud thats what i used on my old one

or if your really not wanting to spend much, give vinegar a go! doesnt do alot but puts a little start onto it!

Update : Used some t-cut and an old tooth brush, gave it a good scrub, it seems to have made a hell of a difference, not quite finished yet due to it starting to raid but here is a pic of the progress:
