Only downside to the iPad somone pointed out to me is you can't hold it in one hand :)

according to the apple shop, they are a new "magical" device.

Here was me thinking electricity was generated in hydro, nuclear, or fuel-burning power stations. Wasnt aware pixie dust/crushed-fairies-fannies powder or similar matter was what powered ipads.

Sold my iphone 4 to get a htc desire and an ipad.

Got the 16gb wifi one, but use the htc as a wireless router so get the internet on the ipad on the go.

Definitely an awesome bit of kit. People that say it's just a big ipod touch havent used a ipad because its so much bigger its completely different.

If you have the money i'd go for one.

The only down side is the actual amount of apps that are specifically made for the ipad aren't in as huge numbers as the normal iphone apps. and as such you sometimes get an app from the appstore that is only meant for an iphone but says it is compatible for the ipad. But is the size of an iphone on the ipad screen so you dont get a full screen. But you get the choice to stretch it, but this can blur. I can take a pic of this if you dont get what i mean.

I miss the iphone 4 lol. To an extent. But i bought the ipad for the apps that i'd miss from the iphone.
The screen on the iphone 4 is 1000X better than any other phone screen out. And the photos and videos are good. But i like the htc for just being a phone.
In my oppinion the iPhone 4 beats it hands down, BUT i couldnt justify the £500 or £600 price tag.

And the main reason i sold my iphone 4 is becuase a guy offered me £950 when i paid £599 for it.

Dont find mine sluggish at all mate. I know what you mean though, as i had the HTC HD or something along them lines. Was running windows mobile though, not android.

My hero is annoying, I think its a bit underpowered & sometimes apps crash which is infuriating if im honest. When my contracts up I think im going to hop on the Iphone wagon

sold it, not worth it unless you read newspapers, browse the internet and mine kept on crashing when the sun hit it so got rid and got offered £410

I find that whatever Apple have on their "new" gadet is a brand new invention and that the world has never seen it before.

For example, they made a big fuss over touch screens, video calling, sending emails and even having a video camera on the iPhone... It's like WTF, we've all seen it all before!

Very clever marketing if you ask me.

went from an jailbreaked iphone 3g to a dell streak. not only is the streak faster, but the pictures are better, i don't have to sync it everytime i want to wipe its arse and i can do what i want with it. i get free sat nav too!

and to think, i was weeks away from getting an iphone 4 ;)

This leaves me thinking what is the point of the streak, to me its like one of the archos multimedia players, just with more features. I definately wouldnt have it as my primary mobile phone, since its not that mobile!

Only reason I'd buy an iPad is to read books. But I've ordered the new Kindle 3 for 4x less the price off the iPad.

i saw a guy with an ipad the other day. its huge, far far far too big. why not just have a notebook?

and the streaks screen is big enough tbh. bit big for a phone like, but browsing on it is brilliant, and theres a kindle app ;)

I don't think the ipad is a portable product, if i had one it wouldn't leave the house.

Im sure the screen on the streak is adequate for internet browsing, how ever if your in the house you may as well use a computer, and if i went out i wouldnt want to take it as its still to big to carry around IMO unless you have a bag or something.

That is what i am saying lmao, its to big to be portable, but not big enough to be of use in the house when i have a laptop with a much nicer screen.
