You can have pressed plates aslong as it has the UK text style and no stupid flags etc.

Number pates must be Rectro reflective and Di Pressed metal ones CANT and DONT comply. They are German style plates NOT UK.
the plate must be correctly configured and have the correct FONT only one font is acceptable and the metal ones displayed do NOT have the correct FONT
It must have the BSAU 145d clearly marked on the plate and also the name and address or post code of the manufacturer
Also It CAN NOT display the D that id reserved for Germany, in UK you can only have GB or ENG Scot or Wales with the EEC flag NOTHING else.

I was pulled by the police not that long ago with ones from Dubmeister, In the end they said they were Ok as they has all the stamps and postcode and correct font ect. They did say they weren't 100% happy about the reflectiveness of them but couldn't prove that they were illegal. So basically If you get the pressed plates board police will pull you over but can't really do anything about them.

Mine went though MOT fine. The ones from Dubmeister are fine as they are stamped. Like I said before you might get pulled from a bored traffic officer but he wont be able to give you anything.

I had my M.O.T today and i was going to get marked down as fail for the above but then he looked it up and theres something about if the car is made in 2001 or before then its ok if not you got to have a printed mark in the bottom right corner or something like that.
