View Full Version : Wheel play??? hellpp :) fixed!!......

hey....



when i jack my car up and up my hands on the top and the bottom of the wheel
there is quite a lot of play in it and i have had a look and i just cant see
anyfing moving about.

ps i had the car lowed about 4 months ago so i was wondering if the drive shaft was not in tight and the track rodend was chaged and i havent had it tracked up yet was going to do it on friday.




any ides guys......?

FIXED!!

all it was that my drive shaft was a bit lose!! but he fucking charged me £20 to do up a bolt wich i could of just done at home :@

and put a dent in my wing TWAT

try jacking it up and takeing wheel of mate?
could be bearing or something.
check haynes manual or something sorry mate.

yea i have taking the wheel off and wobbled the disk and that moves :/?

definitely sounds like a wheel bearing
when u spin the wheel does it make a sort of grinding noise?

Doesnt have to make a noise, mines is goosed, doing the same as yours, sorting it at the weekend

will be a wheel bearing! also try shaking it side to side make sure there is no sideways movement

thing to check is is it just the wheel that moves (not the whole strut)

as it could be a topmount if its the whole strut

not necessarily the wheel bearing, could be where the wishbone connects to the strut, where the pincher is, tighten the bolt.

naah its defo coming from the wheel/disk :/ some one is haveing a look at it in amin

Wheel bearing for sure!, mine was the same but i was stupid and dind't change it.. thought it'd be fine and wrote my saxo vtr offf 2 days ago... bad crash too 95mph and flipped!.
Get it sorted! >.<

Ah thats a niightmare! xD!. But with out that chaps help you could of paid more than £20 to fix it! and probably wouldn't of solved it! xD!...
