need to remove my driveshaft carrier (one which bolts to back of block) in order to fit to new driveshaft, how do i remove the carrier?

unbolt it from the block (3x 15/16mm bolt head from memory)

sorry ross, my mistake for being vague, i mean remove it from the shaft, ive already got it off the block :)

a load of fiddling about its a pain in the arse the intermediate bearing. once got that off just wiggle and pull and will pop out eventually..... from what I can remember.

I hold the shaft vertically with the driveshaft off the car - and hit the carrier downwards making sure you hit it at points all the way around the bearing.

No worries - shouldn't need too much effort to hit it out although some have been a bitch to get off !

im sure there is two little bolts that need un-doing?? i swapped the carrier over from one shaft to another and im sure i unbolted it

there is two 10mm bolts, ive smacked it off now :)

ahhh thought i was right lol glad you got it off i just sat there scratching my head for a little bit but i managed to do it lol

would it not of been easier to just leave that on the car and pull the shaft out? thats what it normally do, saves taking it off.

i had a bit of bother removing my carrier when i bought a new shaft. the new ones come with a bearing but no carrier.
