Not exciting enough for me and not the best performance from a 3l V6
But if it's your style then it seems very affordable, decent insurance group, and you do get alot of car for the money
Need to remember to keep money aside for a flat cap and slippers though, possibly even a pipe and an ounce of tobacco

I'd love one, definitely want to own an old jag some day, think they look cool and they are bound to be luxurious, just can't afford one right now! For the record, I like cars that sort of swim upstream against conventional views... so yeah loads of people will think they are an old mans car or whatever, but that is precisely why I'd want to own one, because not every other 23 year and his dog has one. I kind of broke that rule with the Saxo, but I'm sticking to it now!

Love them. Am thinking of one as my next car tbh. Although I'm considering the diesel which is pricier. 2.2D Sport looks stunning imo. Good bit of kit as standard and the Sport has additional trim.
Only concern is the reliability in the long run. I know it'll be a diesel but...it is a Jag too..

'rents have the 2.5 Estate, the things pull, but if you're kind don't drink as much as you'd expect, 17ish in town, mid twentys, up to 30 if your'e kind to engine (Although the 3.0 would drink more obvs) Really quiet inside as well.

The 2.5 is made by Ford, but not in any of their cars, and the same for the 3.0 ;)

you say it like it is a bad thing? the mondeo got fantastic reviews from everyone. Jaguar took it and made it better looking, comfier and all around a nicer car.
when the jag is reviewed though, it doesn't get rated brilliantly. people slate it for being a glorified mondeo and 'not as good as you'd expect from a jag.'
its very cheap for a brand new x-type in comparrison to other jag's so it obviously isn't going to be quite as good as the more expensive ones but it is still a brilliant car, even more so for the money.
people who say they are rubbish are narrow-minded and aren't very clued up when it comes to cars imo.
if you take a good car and then make it better, how does that make it a bad car? it doesn't.

My mates got a black 54 plate, sports premium 2litre td. No chrome on it all, nice interior, nice looking 18's that were an extra. Doesn't shift too bad either
