i own a vtr. A while ago my passenger driveshaft snapped. Recently done vts conversion last week. And around 5mins ago. Its done exact same thing passenger driveshaft has snapped. Really pissed off. Anyone got any idea why its done it again? Heellp meee:wall::wall::wall:

only thing i could think of if its happened twice is that there is too much pressure on it. have you got a led foot? lol or have you have the gearbox and engine mounts changed?

sounds like a mounting not right causing pressure on said shaft.

hi its not me ragging it. It happened on my vtr engine. Changed it then was fine for months. Jist done an engine conversion. Now vts. And it done it again. Different gearbox and driveshafts

is the car lowered? as this can cause stress on shafts

yeah car is lowerd but not slammed. And ive never heard of this before

i ve read a couple of cases where lowering has caused shafts to snap, not saying thats your problem just trying to help. Maybe its just coincidence its happened twice on same side after all if you fitted a used one it may have just come to the end of its life
I presume you fitted the correct type ie flat or tapered to correspond with bearing in hub as this too can cause problems

probs just coincidence mate, check the mounts tho as these will have a knock on effect if damaged, happend to a mates vts and another mates gti, both of them snapped a mount and both of them had to replace a shaft.....

probs best of putting better mounts on it with u having a vts engine in it anyway but that sounds like ur problem
