I'll be honest, I was like vtr_chris. Starting smoking a lot of green when I was about 15 all the way through to about 20. Not sure why it started, just because of mates and stuff I think, then it just became routine.

And took a few other substances (coke, mdma, pills, valium, ketamine, shrooms) from about 17 to 21.

I havn't smoked now for 2 and a half years and havn't taken any other stuff for near enough 2 years. Even though I did love those days, i've competely grown out of it now and it's all in the past.

Well I'm not going to lie or deny it, I'll admit to it....I have in my time taken drugs, I used to smoke weed, up until 2 and a half years ago.....but I don't anymore so all is good, saw the light haha....unfortunately though these days I have to take prescription drugs for my bad back and also I produce too much stomach acid so I'm on...

tramadol (as and when, I did take these regularly when first diagnosed with my bad back but believe me you don't want to do that!!!! Not nice)
co-codamol - everyday (unfortunately kind of need to otherwise pain would be unbearable) :(
amitriptyline (was everyday) - (but shush, don't tell the doctors as I have took myself off these now, sick of taking so many damn tablets and want to come off them all so bit by bit lol)
and lansoprazole for the acid thingy, I think they do help and not getting stressed out helps too lol :)

My next door neighbour smoked weed like every single day from about the age of 13 til 20 and even moved on to harder stuff at around 18 I think, he even dropped out of secondary school, didn't really go to college til he was 18 or 19... He's now been through uni somehow and is on about teaching guitar, he's really good too, does his own thing, he's in a band, and totally clean to the best of my knowledge. He's doing really well for himself!

His best mate who basically did the same thing, bar dropping out of school, is an absolute reject and one of lifes failures, so it still applies!

From a medical perspective the risks are low. All evidence suggests that any cognitive impairment suffered by the user is reversible and any link to psychotic behaviour is very hard to prove. There seems to be quite a few clinical trials studying the affect of cannibis on the brain at the moment.

As for marijuana being a gateway drug, what the studies have shown is that users who have now progressed onto heroin for example, started off on marijuana. Rather than someone trying weed and then feeling a compulsion to try other drugs.
It seems the first group of people have a predisposition to trying drugs.

By it's nature Holland is a very relaxed country and I doubt we will ever see a shift towards that sort of relaxation in relation to certain drugs as we, as a country are far too uptight about it.

I've come to the point now where I'm like - it's a waste of time/money/energy. I'm a uni student (suprise naaat) but currently working full time owing to the summer months, so yeah, there are definitely pros and cons. I think a lot and it seems to level me out - the PR about it isnt bad either! Just know that heavy abuse at pubescent ages (12-17) will change the way your brain develops.

Also, not a fan of the silly 'hi-grade' that goes around, the dirty cheese that clearly has been cross bred and cross bred for uber potency, imo that's not ganja. Hey I wont say no but I don't get excited over it lol.

Bang on with the pills and mandy there, will never forget the first few times I did it, had some amazing nights. After quite a long time of doing it the feeling was never like it used to be though.

And with ketamine for the first time I would recommend taking it in a safe environment with people you are comfortable with. The first time I did it was at a dirty sub dub night in leeds, had quite a few little ones and was chatting to this bird for half the night about the most random shit as you do, she offered me some and I was just yeh go for it (didn't have a clue what it would be like) and had two massive keys of it. After about half hour it took full hold of me, didn't know where any of mates where, people's heads where massive and looked like everyone was shouting at each other and I was struggling to walk properly. Found my way into this random store room and was convinced I was in an anderson shelter (the one made out of corrugated iron). Other than that had an amazing night lol. But I had done it since with mates in a house and it was a much better experience. However I still wouldn't rate it that much tbh. All clean with everything now though :y:
