By a speed camera..... Not an old man in a big coat.

The road suddenly went from National speed limit to 50MPH and I went through the bloody camera which definitely flashed because it lit the road up.

Speedo said 70, although glancing at the satnav it said around 65 so I think I was less than 20MPH over the limit.

Should I just expect the 3 points and £60 fine?

So annoyed at myself, the limit just changes with no change in the road!

Depends..have you ever been convicted before? Could get lucky and receive a speeding awareness course offer.

For now you face a tense and sweaty wait.

Shit happens mate! Just hope you get offered the awareness course, if not, take it on the chin and start trying to be more careful!

That's cool, was just worried it would go further.

I was trying not to miss the exit by looking at the satnav. I Know it's my own fault that's why I was annoyed at myself. It was dark too... Trying to think of excuses haha.

And no, not been in trouble before.

How the hell did you manage 70mph on the m25?

Weird for them to flash on a motorway! Surely a danger to users coming the opposite way? Are you talking about the yellow average speed cams which are usually in pairs or one stationary permanent one?

Today was mental, took me an hour to go two junctions!

This happened late last night when it was deserted.

And I am pretty sure it was on the M25, unless it was after I came off of it heading towards central London.

When the signs flash up saying 40 I think its some kind of sick joke. 4 would be more appropriate. :n:

Unlucky though mate. Hope you don't hear anything or get the speed awareness course.

you wont get offered the course due to you were well over the limit. speed course is like 3-4mph over the limit

Nay true my friend, I got offered it when I was caught doing 39 in a 30! It's at the discretion of the police force dealing with it.

Don't even remind me. Fucking hate the M25..coming back on Thursday afternoon was a joke. One sign SERIOUSLY said 60...LOL

It took me 40 minutes to cover the 1.5 miles needed to get off the bastard just to go through Rickmansworth to get home..

Cleveland Police is seeking to educate, not prosecute.

How kind ^_^

Do you have to pay to go on a course?

Seems a bit stupid that tax payers should pay the wages and for the gear to catch people speeding, and then pay again for them to go on a course they probably won't pay any attention to.

Mhmm, don't they still flash even when they are full?

If it was dark, and late, then maybe it was full and you got lucky!

I reckon i might have been done by one aswell. I reckon theyre quite dangerous too, it was on the M42 going into birmingham, was doing 70 then it suddenly flashed up 50 and it was one with the cameras on the back. I slammed the brakes on, would have been a nasty accident if i had cars behind me.
