As the title says.

Was driving along and heard a funny noise, muted the tooooons and turned off the blowers. The misses said its just water running under the car. Something wasn't right it sounded really strange so got out to find my driver side arch hanging off the car, only being held on by the indicator wire, the smoked lense had snapped off and was somewhere down a country lane. All clips intact from what I could see? So pushed it back in just to get home.

Got back to my house and in the albeit limited light from the security lamp on the drive, it had been scraping for some time, only the top edge seems to have been damaged though. It has really been hammering it down tonight as well, frustrated at unnecessary expense!

Just pointing this out, technically it was not rain that damaged it. The car was out whilst it was raining so i'm guessing the force of water that had gathered on the road surface had possibly hit the arch in such a way that it was made loose from the rest of the car. y'know?
