Hi, I recently bought a VTS after driving my 1.1 since passing my test. I have 2 years no claims yet every quote I get is around £3000, WTF. Just wondering if this is average or ridiculous because it seems very expensive. Any recommendations on good companies?
Thanks

that is very expensive! i went from a 106 zest 2 (1.1) to a corsa gsi with 1 years no claims and that was £2500 then too a 106 gti which went down to £1200 because i went with adrian flux, have you tried them??

Haven't tried them yet no, I've been getting quotes off the internet so far with no luck! :P Looks like phoning will be the best option, i'll give them a try :y: I wanted a gti but found a vts with 19k, its like new! :fcuk:

Christ that's good! I'm in Birmingham so it isn't exactly great :n: my area's nice though so that shouldn't really affect it.

The world of insurance! Its utterly random, my girlfriend got quoted £2100 for a furio, she's 17 and just passed her driving test yet they quote over £3000 for a 20 year old with 2 years no claims :fcuk:

I was just about to buy a VTS, I haven't had my own car for just over 3 years as been living in London. I had 6 years NCB to use so insurance quotes were all about £450-500 fully comp which was fine. I suddenly realised I couldn't use my 6 years NCB as it has been over two years even since my last own policy although I have been a named driver on other policies I couldn't even get a quote as I didn't have at least 2 years NCB in my own name. I was about to scap the VTS idea all together until I called NFU... They gave me their full 5 years NCB bonus as I hadn't had any accidents in the last 5 years... fully comp, protected NCB and all the extras just £495 with a £250 total excess... result.
(I'm 27, Full Licence for 10 years, No Accidents or Points in the last 5 years)
