right then just want some advise on this, the story is:
basically i crashed into a stationary lorry in the middle of april the lorry driver took my details and i awaited for my dad to tow me away, the lorry had a small scratch on the bottom bar at the back of the lorry and my car was a right of but i managed to get it on a jig and re-build it not telling the insurance, any way about a week after the incedent i got a phone call of some solicitors from the lorry company wanting to sort it all out basicaly i said to them get the lorry company to send me the spray job bill on the bottom bar and since that phone call on the 14/4/2010 ive heard nothing from them, just woundering if i still need 2 pay for it if they send the bill because it been suck a long time? answers and opinions please :drink:

yes, you will still need to pay for it, they have a couple of years to make aclaim

ahh right ok, but what if the driver does more damage to the bar and i need to pay for it all?

they are called under run bars, sounds like they did their job!! anyway, every haulier i know seems to consider scratches on them a matter of course.

yer i was thinking that and it looked like the lorry driver already hit it, just woundered if it would go any further because the solicitors got involved and the time its taken

tbh, most lorry drivers couldnt give a shit aslong as you dont do serious damage.

btw, good luck took my mate 6months to here off the other insurance what was happening.

I don't see the need to claim on it really.

It's a bit like claiming on your insurance because you've kerbed a wheel trim.

Just negligible really.

yer all the lorry driver did was check if his lift went up and down then he drove off :S i think i will just keep waiting and see what happens if it comes till april next year i think i will forget about it
