erm.... no.

insuring a vtr with an uprated cam, a remap and an exhaust system is gonna cost a lot for a young driver to insure

VTR if you can't afford a VTS

The 1.1 is the best. 0-60 time of 4.7 seconds is easily achieved with an induction kit and an "alarme radio code" sticker.

Ooooh it's a hard choice whether to put an honest answer to the OP or put a sarcastic one like some have! Think I'll do both...

Comfort and handling is exactly the same with vtr and vts. Only benefits with vts is power and abs (mk2 vts).
Question is, can you justify the extra insurance.

Get a 1.1, put a vts engine in it, don't tell your insurance company, and don't modify the brakes or suspension, scrap the back seats and ash tray = rapid car minimum cost. Winner. :y:

Get a bmw 316 then put an m3 body kit on it.

If it looks like an m3 it will go like an m3.

if the vts is good and original then i'd definately go for it, insurance for me is 1500 for vtr or 1800 for vts with elephant, and i can justify that extra 300 quid for all the extras you get over the r, plus the smug factor that you have the highest spec you can get :)

What is the all round better car, driving quality, comfort, speed, the vtr or vts ?

lol people read wot the person is asking.....

the better all rounder is the vtr!!!

so driving quailty.. the vtr is a better choice i say this because i have drove many of both vtr and vts and i think its easyer to drive the vtr it seems to me you don,t have to change gear as much alittle like a diesel you can just sit back and relax unlike the vts which u have to get it revving...

comfort... altho the seats ect ect are the same-ish and suspenion ect the rides the same you aslo get a glovebox in the vtr which u olny get a little hub thing on top of the dash in the vts but as above you don,t have to work as much to drive the car in a vtr

speed... vtr's are abit for alright quicker then alot for car in the same class but the vts is quicker also the vtr is a hell of alot better on fuel....

also to add the insureance is alot cheaper on the vtr too...

well that my thoughts i exspect the vts lovers will ripped this down and post the vts is the best thing since sliced bread but think of this i am 27 owned a saxo for 6 years and still think the vtr it the better choice or i would have got a vts by now...
