Howdy sax-p
Right Im getting a new car before X-mas and I dont know what to get lol
My current car is a 206 HDi -
Ive been looking at the Polo Gti & Corsa C 1.8 SRi ....
Both
-cheap to insure
-Around the same power
-Around the same Insurance price
But ive had some nice quotes on some VTS & GTi's but I dont know if I want to go back to a saxo/106 small car.....
Ive got about £2500 alltogether to spend on a car.....
Any other cars you would recomend??
Cheers
Lewis.
P.S a clio 172 is too expensive to insure

You don't want a small car, yet you're looking at Corsas and Polos....

Yes but the saxo/106 feels very small in the front compared to everything else....
When i was in my saxo, i allways used to feel that everything was too close... its hard to explain lol
Im going to look at a mk4 astra 2.0 SRi in about half an hour... its black with an irmsher kit on it looks pretty cool lol

Not sure if you'll find a good Corsa C 1.8 for £2500. The 1.2's go for that price IIRC.

Add an extra £500 onto your budget and you will get a nice Corsa for that :y: £2500 you will get a shitbox.

How about a written off DC5?
For £2500 the shell will be a mess, there may be blood splattered inside, and there wont be an engine...but atleast you can still say you own a DC5

LOL at the vtec comment and your getting 2.2 astra that my MUM has. slow as you like. the only astra that i would own is the 2.2gsi turbo or the vxr range.

if you can afford the astra go for it but if not the sri is a nice choice still small but not cramped inside like the bs, saxos etc

There not slow mate, your mums must just be shit. They're faster than a VTS easy mate. 2.2 sri 0-60 is 7 seconds, saxo is around 7.8 and midrange torque is alot better as well. Also they don't make a 2.2 turbo its a 2.0 turbo.
Not to mention the astra is far better built and cheaper to insure!
Your just another saxo fanboy who thinks they are the fatest car ever made!
To the OP get the astra if you can they are mint :y:
