What are peoples views on this phone? Thinking of getting one seeing as I can get one on O2 unlimited texts, 500 minutes and unlimited internet.

Anyone got one ?

I've got the 9800 Bold (better model) and it's good.. Good for texting/internet, not nearly as fun as an iPhone or HTC though as you can't get apps anything like you can on them.. But as an all round phone is does the job, BBM is good too if you know lots of other people with BB's.

Don't like the ball on the 8900 personally, but some prefer it to the touch pad. Wouldn't pay anymore than £20 maybe £25 for it on that contract though.

Yes mate I looked at that model as well, and seem pretty set on the 8900

The contract is £25 a month which seems like a really good deal!

great for texting and for making notes on etc.. good calander, internet is OK.. not fast but it gets the job done, fine for mobile sites though such as facebook.
applications are more practically based rather than "fun" such as the iphone..

i'd deffinatley get another if this died..

and im paying £45 a month :/ sucks for me! lol

If I buy one now do you know when the first montly fee has to be paid?

If you can get the 9800 for the same price, definitely do. 8900 is the older model, it's slower all around and takes AGES too boot up from being powered off. Touch on 9800 is better imo and more reliable.. 9800 also looks better imo too.

Edit: lol how could I forget, 9800 is alot quicker on the net too, as it's 3G.

Well I'm on about the 9800 Bold, but if they've made a curve 3g then get that! 3g was alot faster compared to my mates non-3g 8900 Curve!

i ve had a 8900 curve for about a year now and it hasnt missed a beat however i found the internet to be slow and to small of a screen for viewing a site like sax-p etc however texting is very quick and easy because you have a proper key pad and email is very reliable and its pretty good for using instant messaging on but its a old phone now so would recommend getting a newer version
