Hii,
basically my mk2 VTR has done 127k, with no record of head gasket being done. :panic: so i want to do it. i have a reasonable knwledge of mechanics and have a good idea on what im doing. changing a head gasket is it just a case of taking the head of replacing the gasket and whacking the head back on?

or is there more to it than that.. help much appreciated. :y:

THANKS IN ADVANCE.

dan.

its more than just taking it off and replacing the gasket, the timings have to be done, and at rite level.

I would not do this unless you are sure you know what you are doing..

my vtr is currently having head gasket done £150 including skimming.
