Yes my sleep!

So I woke up Tuesday morning with a really achy arm didn't think anything of it 'till later in the day.
I went to the doctors that day and he said you've just sprained it, so I left it but the pain got worse and it really hurt to do things with my right arm.
I finally went to A+E today and the doctor told me I dislocated my arm!
Told him what the other doctor said and he was so annoyed by how he didn't notice as now my right arm will be really weak and possibly pop out just randomly as its been nearly a whole week out of place :n:
I must of had such a dead arm that when I rolled over my arm didn't come with me and it dislocated itself and I didn't feel a thing.
I'm a really heavy sleeper but didn't know I was that much of a heavy sleeper!!!

Iuno if the link works as it won't just let me upload the photo.
It was taken half way through the process as I forgot to take a before photo aha.

Shit, unlucky love :(

I'm surprised it didn't wake you up with the pain. Maybe it didn't fully dislocate and just slipped out a bit.

Hope it doesn't cause you too much pain, shoulder injuries are really inconvenient!

I'm a REALLY heavy sleeper aha trust me but I would of thought it would of woke me up, but I suppose it being so numb I just didn't feel a thing 'till the morning.

Anymore pain and I think I will actually cry aha!
Yeah I'm realising now how much I actually use my shoulder for :n:

You should go back to that doctor and tell him what has happened! He needs to be told how shit he is.

Aww don't cry

I know what you mean about realising you much you use it! Just a shame that the pain is the reminder...

Yeah i'm very surprised you didn't wake up with the pain. I dislocated my shoulder playing rugby a while back, was one of the most painful things that's ever happend to me.

It dislocated about 10 times after that as well just doing simple things like swimming and trying to start a lawnmower, so in the end had to have an operation on it

I'll try not to cry! Aha!

Mhm I keep forgetting I've done it, which makes it worse aha ohwell I'll live!

Its surprising for most people how I didn't wake up but my arm must of been really numb and I must of been in a pretty good dream!
Ahh flip! :s Playing rugby, that does sound painful! You must of been in agony!
I didn't like it when he put it back in place I kept cringeing aha.

Oh no really :l Thats really bad! It's all ok now though, since the operation?

Did the initial doctor examine or look at your shoulder. What was your range of movement like?

I would expect an injury to the rotator cuff muscles if your shoulder has been dislocated for a week.

Dislocating your shoulder is meant to be INCREDIBLY painful...how the hell you didn't feel that bad I have no idea..

Hope you're better now though. Can I punch you and see if you feel that maybe??

Yeh I was, I felt as though I wasn't in control of my arm, then after about a minute it popped itself back in.

It hasn't dislocated since the operation, but you can tell it's still weaker than it was before. I should really try and strengthen it up properly tbh.

I hope yours is ok anyway, you should be able to get away with physio and stuff on it :y:

Rotator cuff injuries are great fun.

Any better pics of the shoulder? Maybe take a picture of the area a bit to the right and a bit lower, so i can properly diagnose things

Wow im amazed you could even move you arm the slightest. Id have thought you would have noticed your shoulder joint moving about.

I once fell over whilst running down a corridor (stupid i know) and hit my shoulder full force on a steel beam. Incredible pain but it relocated itself by the morning :S

Hope you get better :)
