In my opinion people seem to be so blinkered by their own faith and what they believe in they cant see the bigger picture.

The biggest problem is people dont seem to understand and respect each others faiths, they all feel their one is the one that makes you a good person and others are bad people (this is in the exteremeist view). People need to accept that others even within the same faith may interperate the 'book' differently to they do and that is what makes them feel fulfilled in life.

She drinks, smokes, has sex outside of marriage, swears... we have the religion conversation quite a lot, about how she is picking the parts she wants and disregards the rest of it. What people forget is that to some the faith is just something to help them accept the way life is (almost to blame for some things).

is some people dont just choose to believe or not. I dont just wake up and think ok im going to believe in God. You cant explain it, but you believe because its definite to you, I believe its there and cant accept no other way.

I have some very strong religous friends (sodding CU presidents etc.. lol).

It is ultimately a choice to believe or not still. Like I said earlier, people believe as it makes them feel better in life, but everyone is educated enough to form their own opinions which is why even very strong families have issues when the young one decides they dont believe in the preachings.

I had one person who was really OTT. I had great pleasure with her and her preaching when the large hadron collider started off proving the big bang theory :D
