Blue, yellow, green!

Lulz, jokes.

Right, my contract is with Orange and my upgrade was to the iPhone for 18 or 24 months, I can't quite remember...

Anyway, what it is, I've smashed the f*cker by accident and now need to claim on my "insurance".

The reason I made this thread is because I need some help on claiming. What it is, is my contract is £30 a month for unlimited texts (but sticking to the fair usage policy), 600 minutes and unlimited Internet (again, sticking to the fair usage policy). I also took out the £12 insurance for it each month. Now I don't use my phone enough to go over any of these and my bill is always around the £42 mark, so this would be £30 for the contract and £12 for the insurance.

Blah, blah, blah.....

Now it's come to the time of me claiming, I've checked my statements and it's showing these £12 extra costs is due to extra charges, not having insurance.

I just want a bit of help knowing what to do as I asked for the insurance to be taken out, but now I've just checked and it doesn't seem like I have insurance?

Any help is appriciated :y:

I am going to, but I just want a bit of help on how I could explain to them that I asked for the insurance to be taken out and it doesn't look like it has.

I want a bit of advise or peoples experience before I ring them.

Is it because normal insurance is £6, and iphone insurance is like an extra service?
So that is why you have a £12 service charge each month

I wonder how many people have had Iphone screens smashed over the years ;)

I nearly had to claim on my camera insurance, thought i broke my camera when it bounced off someones head.

Id have enjoyed ringing my policy company for that one....

He was pissed/drugged up. Didnt listen when i said I needed to get a photo of the headliner before I took a photo of him, he grabbed me by the throat being a twat so I accidently bounced the camera off his head.

the extra £12 a month is for the insurance mate, it doesnt come up as insurance it just says monthly extras. but it will be your insurance. just ring up the number for the insurance company and get yourself a nice new iphone ;)
i no this because i had to claim 3 times last year through accidentaly breaking my iphone :homme:
o and also when you make a claim the robbing bastards add an additional excess charge of £20 on for that month for making the claim!

Orange are actually money grabbing cunts! I only just got a blackberry with them on contract like a month ago.. And My bill come in at 62.46! (when i pay £37.50 - £40 a month) so i was a bit confused.. Rang them up and they said £12 was for the usage of the phone and the rest of the money was for DELIVERY REPORTS! I flipped. So they gave me £10 of my next bill muahaha! Bastards!

Usually your insurance is sub-contracted out to 'Policy Admin Services'

Any help is appriciated :y:

buy a pay n go phone, exchange sim cards before powering new phone.
buy unlocked phone
buy second hand phone.

if in doubt then call orange, get new phone, get another 18 months on top of your existing contract

Of course they are. Read your contract and check the options before you sign. Boo hoo denied.
