The heat proof cover that covers up your oil filter from engine and catalytc converter heat, just curious as with me getting a Supersprint 4-2-1 manifold in the near future i want to buy a new heat proof cover for that extra safety but i cant find them anywhere on Google :n:.

manifold heatshield. most of time they don;t go back on after market mani's as they most on habe 2 screw holes so rattles around better off leaving it off

Mine was fine with a Supersprint fitted.

Didn't it get hot or anything, it's still in tack but it's the the top screw joint that's split therefore it is a bit loose :/.

Not sure. I imagine it got hot, but not enough to melt it.
If in doubt, get yourself a new plastic filter housing fitted.
